THE PROTOTYPE FOR MÄRKLIN 3019. NETRAIL Da 903 The Märklinmodel, article no 3019 was produced for the first time in 1954. Its the prototype of the green version of the famous brown Märklin 3030, was introduced to the market for more than 60 years later, at the 100 years celebrations for the Sveriges Järnvägsmuseum. (Swedish Railroad museum) in Gävle, Sweden, in 2015, were the loco was shown officially for the first time. The renovation and the upgrade of the old loco, was performed by the Swedish association Stambanans Vänner, (Friends of Swedish Trunk Lines) supervised by Mr. Kjell Karlsson. On the pictures, you can see some interesting details on the prototype. The loco is even equipped with screws on both ends, that was seen on the model, together with the Märklin couplers. The idea was also, to equip the loco with a Pick up shoe, but this item was forgotten, back in the shed in Norrköping, and could not be shown at the presentation in Gävle. There was also a new loco number sign, molded with the name of the new operator. Off course, there is also a Märklin logo painted on the body of the loco.
